KINGSPORT — Surf N Brew Oyster Bar has announced the opening of its second location, this one at 1704 E. Stone Drive.

“From the time you walk in the door, we want you to feel like you are on the Gulf,” said a news release. “We want to bring the beach to the mountains, Surf N Brew style, from the fresh seafood, to the beach house style decorations, to our uniquely designed bar. We are here to bring Kingsport fresh seafood with a relaxing and fun atmosphere.”

The restaurant serves fresh seafood, including oysters raw on the half shell, steamed and chargrilled. In addition, Surf N Brew has wild caught Gulf shrimp, mussels, clams, crab legs and scallops. Every Friday morning it gets a shipment of live Maine lobster.

“Our focus isn’t just on our seafood but on every item we serve, such as our hand cut ribeye steaks and hand battered fresh chicken tenders,” the release noted. “We only want the freshest and highest quality served to our guests. At our uniquely designed custom bar, we have 24 taps with a great selection of craft beer and cider from our area. Also, we will be serving wine and liquor soon. Our dedicated staff has been working diligently in training and are ready to serve you.”
