HSAPP to hold public meeting about environmental program

KINGSPORT — Holston Army Ammunition Plant (HSAPP) will hold a public meeting about its environmental program on December 12 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the East Tennessee State University Allandale Campus, Room 236, 1501 University Blvd.
At the conclusion of the meeting, community members will have the opportunity to ask questions.
Government leadership representatives will consist of Col. Luis Ortiz, commander, Pine Bluff Arsenal; Joe Kennedy, commander’s representative, HSAAP; Laura Peters, environmental engineer, HSAAP; and Justine Barati, director of public and congressional affairs, Joint Munitions Command.
Representatives from BAE Systems, the operating contractor, will include Bob Winstead, safety, health, and environmental director, HSAAP; William Shelton, environmental manager, HSAAP; and Christopher Finley, communications manager, HSAAP.
HSAAP is a government-owned, contractor-operated munitions installation that manufactures a wide range of explosives. HSAAP is a subordinate of Pine Bluff Arsenal, Pine Bluff, Ark.; and Joint Munitions Command, Rock Island Arsenal, Ill.
