KTG will stage “Murder on the Orient Express” this weekend and next weekend, and tickets are still available. The show will be performed in two locations, and some performances will include dinner or hors d’ouevres.
“The talent in the show is amazing. We have such highly talented people in the area, because they come from all over the Tri-Cities and beyond to be in the shows that KTG has,” said director Tim Story. “It’s pretty neat to see the caliber of people that come to be in these shows, whether they’re on the mainstage or downtown.”
When and where
Performances will take place on Oct. 4 and 5 at 7 p.m. at Taylored Venue and Events, and dinner is included with the ticket purchase. The show will also be staged on Oct. 5, 6 and 13 at 2 p.m. at the same location, with heavy hors d’ouevres included.
Additional performances will be held on Oct. 11 and 12 at 7 p.m. and on Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Kingsport Center for Higher Education. No dinner or hors d’ouevres will be served at that location.
About the show
Adapted from Agatha Christie’s popular novel of the same name, “Murder on the Orient Express” tells the story of a luxurious train called the Orient Express, which is stopped in its tracks one night by a snowdrift. By the morning, the full train has one less passenger after an American tycoon is found dead in his compartment.
Isolated and with a killer in their midst, detective Hercule Poirot must identify the murderer, in case he or she decides to strike again.
Tickets vary in price from $10-25 each. They can be purchased online at www.kingsporttheatre.org or by phone at (423) 392-8427.
