Thirty-six area golfers and celebrities are being invited to participate in an all-day golf marathon for the benefit of The First Tee of Tri-Cities. Each invitee will play as many holes as he or she can from sunup to sundown in an effort to make as many birdies as possible.
Last year, 2,000 holes were played and 408 birdies amassed. The First Tee of Tri-Cities raised $23,000 for its program through the efforts of the golfers.
Prior to the event, players will be seeking pledges for their birdies. Visit www.birdiesforbucks.com to find more information on the Birdies for Bucks fundraiser and to see the area golfers who have been invited to participate.
You can participate by backing the golfer of your choice and pledging an amount for birdies made. It’s a very worthy cause so join the fun and make a pledge.
