BLOUNTVILLE — Following the execution of a search warrant more than a month ago in the Bloomingdale community, police have now located and arrested a suspected drug dealer.

According to a press release from the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, earlier this year the narcotics unit began investigating Warren McDaniel Hilton, 28. Hilton was believed to be selling methamphetamine from his home at 2512 Bloomingdale Road.

On July 12, investigators obtained a search warrant and entered Hilton's residence. He was not home at the time, but officers allegedly located more than two ounces of meth, digital scales, used syringes, a .40-caliber handgun and ammunition. A second warrant was then issued, this time for Hilton's arrest.

On Monday, police were conducting surveillance near Hilton's home and spotted him as a passenger in a passing vehicle. Patrol deputies conducted a stop on East Stone Drive and reportedly found Hilton in possession of more meth, used syringes and a spoon.

Hilton was arrested and transported to the Sullivan County jail in Blountville. As of Wednesday morning he remained held on $25,000 bond.
