Last week President Trump order a missile strike against Syria because Bashar Assad used chemical weapons on his own people. Trump called it a humanitarian mission.
That’s all well and good, but at the same time he is in favor of cutting funding for Meals on Wheels, which feeds senior citizens. For many in the program, that is the only good meal they eat all day.
Trump also is in favor of cutting government heating oil assistance for the old, poor and needy, along with food stamps and welfare. Aren't those considered humanitarian programs for those in need? And I'm not even going to mention the poor water problems in Flint, Michigan, and Puerto Rico that affect many American citizens.
Whatever became of Trump's campaign promise of America first?
