GATE CITY — The Scott County Chamber of Commerce’s limited edition, collectible Christmas ornaments are now available.

This year’s ornament features the popular Devil’s Bathtub from a photograph by Scott County native Jason Horton.

“We appreciate Jason allowing us to use his picture for this year’s ornament,” said Scott County Chamber of Commerce Executive Secretary Penny Horton. “It is a great picture of the bathtub, and Jason is a very accomplished nature photographer.”

The limited edition collectible ornaments began as a fundraiser in 1998 and have become very popular collector’s items.

“The Chamber is excited to continue this series of unique ornaments.” Horton added. “We have a quantity of 377 available, and with the popularity of both the Devil’s Bathtub and the collectible ornaments, they are sure to sell out quickly.”

The ornaments are $9.95 each and can be purchased at the Quik Stop Markets in Gate City and Weber City, at the Red Roof Discount Center in Weber City and at the Chamber office.

Other ornaments in the series have included the Carter Fold, the A.P. Carter Cabin, Natural Tunnel State Park, the Falls of Little Stoney, Fannon Railroad Museum, Bush Mill, Kilgore Fort, the Santa Train and the state bird.

A few of the previous ornaments are still available.
