KINGSPORT — Even though warmer weather is still months away, now might just be the time for you to consider enrolling your kids in swim lessons.

The Kingsport Aquatic Center - a year-round swim facility located off Meadowview Parkway – also offers swim lessons all year round as well. It’s winter sessions are just around the corner, and yet there’s still a few day left to register.

The lessons begin January 6 and if you’re an Aquatic Center or YMCA member, weekday lessons are $50 for the first child and $45 per additional child; Saturdays are $25 per child and $22.50 per additional child. If you take the classes during the week there will be eight sessions; on Saturday there will be four sessions.

For non-members, weekday lessons are $60 for the first child and $55 per additional child, while Saturdays are $30 per child and $27.50 per additional child.

All swim lessons at the Kingsport Aquatic Center are American Red Cross courses and the facility offers group, private, semi-private and adaptive classes to suit you or your child’s unique needs.
