JOHNSON CITY — What better way to spend the first day of summer than a round of golf for a great cause?

Join us to support Northeast State Community College students while teeing it up with a few local, city, and county mayors during the Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament happening Friday, June 21 at the Johnson City Country Club, 1901 E. Unaka Ave.

Sponsored by the Northeast State Foundation, the Mayor’s Cup tournament check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. All proceeds from the event benefit student programs and needs at Northeast State. In case of inclement weather, the tournament’s rain date is July 26.

The tournament features a variety of sponsorship levels. A hole sponsorship is $1,000, and includes one golf hole sign and mention at lunch. A team sponsorship is $650, which includes one foursome team and cart signage. The single player entry fee is $125. All sponsorships are tax-deductible minus the player fee.

Prizes will be awarded for the first-, second-, and third-place teams, and winner of the scramble.

Golfers who participate win the satisfaction of helping students earn a College degree to improve their lives and our region as a whole. The Northeast State Community College Foundation supports academics, community service, educational scholarships and other programs offered by the College. In partnership with the community, the College sustains the effort toward improving the quality of life for residents of the Northeast Tennessee region.
