Hundreds turned out Wednesday (Oct. 25, 2017) for the first ever "Church Circle Fall Festival" around historic Church Circle in downtown Kingsport. It included live entertainment, snacks, games and a "trunk-or-treat" up and down a block of Broad Street.

The festival was hosted by the three churches with stand around Church Circle: First Baptist; First Presbyterian; and First Broad Street United Methodist.

Scheduled to run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the event drew a steady stream of participants throughout that time period. At one point, the line for the "trunk-or-treat" area - which took up the first block of Broad Street, between Sullivan and New streets, stretched more than half way around the circle.

Live praise music was provided from a temporary stage at "the top" of the circle and performed by a special ensemble made up of members of bands from each of the three churches.

In addition to the "trunk-or-treat" and live music, the festival offered a wide variety of games for children and hot dogs and other refreshments for all.
