KINGSPORT – A group of New Vision Youth students braved the cool temperatures earlier this week to spread a little Christmas cheer in the Riverview community.
Shortly after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, students gathered at the V.O. Dobbins Community Center in Kingsport for a night of Christmas caroling. Throughout the evening, the children performed at senior citizens’ houses in Riverview and on Dale, Maple and Oak streets.
Johnnie Mae Swagerty, director of New Vision Youth, said this is the 15th year the group has gone caroling around Christmastime.
