Season of Giving: Fostering Love

Submitted by Celeste Arrowood • Dec 24, 2018 at 4:30 PM
On Nov. 20, fourth-grade students at Indian Springs Elementary School lovingly constructed Scandinavian heart Christmas ornaments for the children of Isaiah 117 House in Carter County, Tennessee. The stated mission of the Isaiah 117 House is "to provide physical and emotional support in a safe and loving home for children awaiting foster care placement."

The hearts were woven together with love and bear a tag featuring a special quote from the Isaiah 117 House House: "Love, you're not alone." These hearts will be placed on the Christmas tree at the house for children to take with them when they move to their foster placements.
