Sullivan County Trustee Susan Ramsey, elected last year, has closed satellite offices for tax payments and other services. Ramsey also terminated Paul Harr, who has served as the county’s delinquent tax attorney for more than 30 years.
If you’re a Sullivan County property owner and you haven’t paid your 2018 county property taxes, time is running out to do so before late fees kick in. The deadline is Feb. 28. Penalties will be charged beginning March 1 at a rate of 1.5 percent per month.
To avoid interest and potential penalties, property owners must pay Sullivan County property taxes (which cover the period of Jan. 1, 2018, through Dec. 31, 2018) by Feb. 28, 2019.
