KINGSPORT — If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, head downtown for live music, good food, a movie and more. Here are some suggestions for your weekend from the Downtown Kingsport Association.


Model City Tap House

What: Live music from Donnie and the Dry Heavers. Expect to hear originals, classic covers and more from this local jam band.

When: 7 p.m.

High Voltage

What: Beer and Bunko is back at High Voltage.

Where: High Voltage, 101 Cherokee St., Suite 20 and 30

When: The activities begin at 7 p.m. Additionally, the axes will fly from 5-10 p.m. at the King’s Sport Axe House. Book your lanes ahead of time at KingsSportAxeHouse.com


High Voltage and King’s Sport Axe House

Lamplight Theatre

What: “Le Cadre” — An enchanting parable told entirely through different styles of dance.

7:30 p.m. — Bingo Party!

• Cost: $10 per person, includes food, drink and prizes)

Reedy Creek Bicycles

What: 2020 Winter Swap Meet

Bring your outdoor, cycling, rock climbing, running, camping, etc. gear to sell. You are welcome to buy, sell, and trade with no cost. Reedy Creek Bicycles will take 10% of the sale if the buyer uses a credit card transaction.

Make sure your items are tagged with the price, seller name and phone number. All items will need to be picked up by the end of the day.

When: The shop opens at 8 a.m., and the space is first come, first served, so get there early to set up.

Hometown Cottage 1771

What: Melt and pour soap making class. Bring the family for a fun afternoon creating your own glycerin soap that you can unmold and take home for use the same day.

Kingsport Public Library Movie
