BIG STONE GAP — Crystal Gayle and Dave Eggar will headline the 14th annual Gathering in the Gap Music Festival May 23 at the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical Park.

Gayle, a Grand Old Opry member and the sister of country music legend Loretta Lynn, has her own successful U.S. pop, country and gospel music career spanning more than four decades.

Gayle has also received several Grammys and other awards.

Eggar, a renowned cellist, composer, performer, and a return visitor to Gathering in the Gap, began playing the cello and piano at age 3, performed on Broadway and with the Metropolitan Opera at 7, and debuted at Carnegie Hall at 15. Eggar has performed worldwide as a solo cellist and pianist and with artists including Coldplay, Beyoncé, Bon Jovi, Evanescence, The Who, Pearl Jam, Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, Fall Out Boy, Kathleen Battle, Ray Lamontagne, Frank Ocean, Corinne Bailey Rae, and others.
