CHURCH HILL — One person was injured and police were seeking a suspect following a domestic dispute that ended in a stabbing at the Church Hill Inn Tuesday evening.

Church Hill Police Department Chief Chad Mosley told the Times News at the scene that one patient was transported from the motel to Holston Valley Medical Center via Hawkins County EMS.

The victim reportedly received three stab wounds but EMS reportedly told the CHPD that the injuries were not life-threatening.

Officers with the CHPD and Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to the stabbing report on the back side of the motel at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Mosley said officers received a vehicle and suspect description, and they believed that the suspect fled into Mount Carmel or Kingsport.

The Times News will update this report as more information becomes available.
