Doll & Bear Show today at Jonesborough Visitors Center

A Doll & Bear Show will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday (March 14) at Jonesborough Visitors Center, 117 Boone St., to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

What it is: a doll and bear show featuring all types of dolls and bears, from vintage to modern, as well as accessories.

How it benefits St. Jude: Donations are accepted as admission to the venue and all proceeds donated to the children's research hospital.

Some of the highlights: An unusual teddy bear with a spring-action mouth and metal "throat" so he can be fed treats; a 1950s Mickey Mouse in full Davy Crockett costume; a 1948 Campbell Kids doll; and a rare 1940s cloth Dagwood Bumstead comic character cloth doll. Where and when: Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 pm. at the Jonesborough Visitors Center, 117 Boone St., Jonesborough, Tenn.
