Volunteer High School’s official school-sanctioned graduation ceremony was held throughout the day Saturday, with small groups of students — each with up to four guests — waiting their turn to walk the stage in an otherwise empty gymnasium.
The event began with a senior parade down W. Main Boulevard to the Church Hill Senior Center parking lot where graduates parked their decorated vehicles and began staging for the celebration to come.
